A haven for marriages, families and the generation coming after us
The Haven Family Ministry is a non-denominational Christian ministry dedicated to building, restoring and strengthening marriages and families in Buea, Cameroon — and beyond.
Our Mission
To build total homes where God's presence dwells and His love reigns, by equipping singles, strengthening marriages and empowering families through biblical teaching, practical training, compassionate counselling and intentional mentoring.
Our Vision
To see the printers of divorce bills put out of business forever, and to establish a generation of godly homes in Cameroon and beyond that stand as beacons of Christ's love and testimonies of His faithfulness.
Why we exist
The name 'The Haven' says everything
Marriage and family as a safe harbour — a place of refuge, peace, healing and authentic love where people find rest from the storms of life.
Buea is a growing urban centre with a vibrant Christian community and a young population. It is also a city where cultural transition, economic pressure and shifting media influence are reshaping how families live. Couples are caught between traditional roles and modern expectations, and few ministries provide focused, systematic teaching and counselling on marriage and family.
Perhaps most critically, couples plan extensively for their weddings and invest almost nothing in preparing for their marriages. Haven exists to close that gap — with preparation before the covenant, enrichment during it, and intervention when a home is in crisis.

Teaching
Sound, undiluted biblical teaching through conferences, seminars, books and digital media.
Training
Schools and programmes that equip singles, couples and parents with practical skills.
Counselling
Compassionate, confidential, professional counselling for individuals and couples.
Mentoring
Connecting younger couples with mature families who model godly living.
Prayer
Consistent intercession for marriages and families, and teaching households to pray.
Community
A network of families supporting, encouraging and holding one another accountable.
The founders
Pastor Jam Jude Jua & Jeroline Jua
Pastor Jam Jude Jua serves as Associate Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Molyko, Buea, and oversees Gospel Light Baptist Mission Station, Molyko New Layout. He holds a Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies from the Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary, Ndu, and a Master of Science in Animal Science.
His professional training in family ministry includes certification as a Marriage and Family Coach from The Institute of Marriage and Family Affairs (USA) and a Diploma in Marriage Counselling from Family Boosters Academy (Nigeria).
Jeroline Jua holds a Master of Business Administration and is a certified marriage counsellor from Dominion Single and Marriage Academy, with further certification from Wives Grooming Academy. She brings the perspective of a woman, wife and mother to the emotional and relational dynamics that shape healthy families.
Together they are blessed with a daughter, GladysClouds, and reside in Molyko, Buea, building a Christ-centred home that reflects the principles they teach.

What we believe
Core values
Absolute commitment to Scripture
All teaching and counsel is rooted in God's Word as the final authority for life and relationships (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The sacredness of marriage
Marriage is a divine covenant, not a human contract. No marriage is beyond redemption (Malachi 2:14-16).
Purity before marriage
We teach singles to honour God and protect their future spouses through purity (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
Biblical partnership
Sacrificial, servant-hearted leadership and respectful, joyful partnership — both mutually submitted to Christ (Ephesians 5:21-33).
Faithfulness in marriage
Husbands and wives honour their covenant with exclusive, loving intimacy (1 Corinthians 7:1-5).

Every story entrusted to us is held in strict confidence and treated with honour.
