Trust is the foundation of counselling. Here is exactly how we protect what you share with us.
Our confidentiality commitment
Everything shared in a counselling session with Haven Family Ministry is held in strict confidence. Session content is never discussed with family members, church leaders or third parties without your explicit written consent. Counselling notes are stored securely and accessed only by the counsellor handling your case.
Information we collect
When you request a session, register for an event or subscribe to our newsletter we collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred session date and any message you choose to share. We do not collect payment card details on this website.
How we use your information
Your details are used solely to schedule and deliver the service you requested, to send you event or newsletter updates you asked for, and to keep accurate ministry records. We never sell, rent or trade your information.
Legal limits to confidentiality
In line with professional counselling practice, confidentiality may be broken only where there is a serious and imminent risk of harm to you or another person, where a child or vulnerable adult is at risk, or where disclosure is required by law.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in an access-controlled database. Administrative access is limited to authorised ministry staff and protected by individual accounts and role-based permissions.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option in every message.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and resources are most useful. We do not use advertising trackers.
